Jacque Forman is a dancer, choreographer, and student researcher originally from Los Angeles, CA. She is currently pursuing her B.A. in Neuroscience with a double major in Dance at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Forman has attended pre-professional and professional dance programs across the country, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, BODYTRAFFIC, Carmel Dance Festival/Ballare Carmel, and Interlochen Summer Arts Camp. She has performed as a guest dancer with Ballet X and ODC/Dance through Skidmore College. Additionally, she has performed works by choreographers including Robert Battle, Peter Chu, Takehiro Ueyama, Matthew Neenan, Brenda Way & Dexandro Montalvo, Earl Mosley Jr, Larry Keigwin, Jason Ohlberg, and Erika Pujič.

In addition to her drive for performance and the artistic process, she is engaged in and passionate about neuroscience and research. At Skidmore, she is a member of Hassan Lopez’s Neuroscience Laboratory, studying altruism in rats. She has worked with Sarah DiPasquale on Independent Research regarding the cognitive impacts of dance on children since 2021.

Post graduation, Forman plans to pursue professional concert dance and freelance choreography. Eventually, she aims to integrate her passions for movement and neuroscience by conducting interdisciplinary research on the neural mechanisms underlying the performance, creation, and viewing of dance.
